The Adult Confirmation Program is specifically designed for adults who are active in their Catholic faith, were baptized as Catholics, and have received the sacrament of First Eucharist, but for various reasons were not ever able to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Adult Confirmation preparation is a three-week process that will be offered in both the Fall and Spring of each year at Saint Mark the Evangelist. The sessions will focus on a re-introduction and re-familiarization of all the Catholic sacraments with special emphasis on the Sacrament of Confirmation, as well as topics such as the Church and living a sacramental and moral life.

This Fall, the three-week preparation class will meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am (October 8, 15, 22). Candidates will then be invited to present themselves for the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Diocesan Confirmation with Bishop Raica on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:30 pm. The celebration will take place at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in downtown Birmingham. Please contact Deacon Phil Boettcher at [email protected] to register or get more information.

Tootsie Roll: During the weekend of Oct. 7th - 8th, the Knights of Columbus will be outside each Mass collecting donations for those with Intellectual Disabilities in exchange for a Tootsie Roll.  The funds collected will help different organizations that serve those with intellectual disabilities.  Your generosity, as in past years, will be greatly appreciated.

St. Mark's Supper Club will meet on October 14, 2023, at 5:15 p.m., at El Patron Mexican Restaurant, 4673 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35442.  All adults are welcome to attend.  Every person will be responsible paying for their own meal.  Please join us and meet some of your fellow parishioners. All Saints Carnival – Save the Date!
October 29, 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Our first annual All Saints Carnival will be Sunday, October 29^th from 5:00 -7:00 pm in the Youth Center. A fun way to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve, we invite you to come celebrate dressed as your favorite saint.  There will be theme-centered food, games and prizes, and a bonfire!

TRANSEPT STAINED-GLASS WINDOW PROJECT GIFT
 
Through the generosity of a couple of parishioners, we have been able to retrofit and install the six smaller stained-glass windows that have been in storage since the Church was built in 2003. In addition, two new ones were designed and installed for the two small windows above the exit doors. Remaining in storage are the two large windows shown above needing to be retrofitted, like the others, to fit and match the gothic arched windows in the Church.
