We meet at a local restaurant for dinner and socializing. It's a wonderful way to meet your fellow parishioners and share a meal. Our upcoming supper will be held at Ming’s Cuisine, 514 Cahaba Park Circle, Birmingham, AL 35242 behind the car wash on 280. We'll meet at 5:15 p.m. onSaturday, June 11. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS QUARTERLY SERVICE DAY
Our council would like to express gratitude to our parish for supporting our last quarterly family service day in March. Your donations of clothing and especially jackets were much appreciated by those that were in great need.
Please join the Knights of Columbus for a quarterly family service day on June 11, 2022. You and your family are invited to come share in prayer and serve the poor on the streets of Birmingham. We will serve with the Friars and Sisters - Fraternity Poor of Jesus Christ. We will start with a Rosary at the Friars house beginning at 1:30PM. Then, we will make 75 lunches to carry around downtown Birmingham. We travel in cars following each other and stop at multiple points to step out and serve the poor. We offer hot chocolate, lunch, water, clothing and toiletries, as well as words of encouragement and prayer. Your family is welcome to join for any or all of the activities.
Date - Saturday June 11th
Time - Rosary - 1:30PM, Begin our Service Time at 2:00PM, Ends around 5 or 5.30.
Location - Meet behind Our Lady of Fatima - Friar’s House - 44 16th Ave S, Birmingham AL 35205
If you cannot serve we also welcome donations to help the poor. The items in constant need are:
Food - Individually packed goods - Granola Bars, Chips, Canned meat with hand open top
Clothing - Most of the poor are men - Most in need of Large, XL, XXL, etc. - Blankets, Coats, Jackets, Socks, Shirts, Pants, etc.
Check - Please make out to Fraternity Poor of Jesus Christ - The Friars use this for lunch materials and miscellaneous items each week
Prayers - Please pray for the Franciscan Friars, Sisters and the poor of Birmingham

Next Vacation Bible School (VBS) Decorations Workshop
Our next “Decorations Workshop” for summer VBS is May 22 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Things are coming together beautifully as we turn our Youth Center into a new kingdom complete with castle! We invite you to come help transform this space for an awesome week of VBS for our children. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

This year’s theme is Cool Kingdom Party, where we’ll celebrate and learn about the coolest kingdom of all, Heaven! Along with saints like Joseph and Francis of Assisi and the Queen of All Saints, Mary, our children will be led to a greater understanding of Our Blessed Mother and how she leads us closer to her son, Jesus.
